I just purchased A 1983 Superslant with the gn6 control (2 axis). When I power it up, it stops before the position page. I have alarm flashing in the lower right corner, and it displays 1000 not ready. Can anyone help me? Thanks, Eric |

More info, The hydraulics do not come on, If I press the Emergency re-set the x brake releases but the drives do not kick in. There are no led's on the main board, The pil light comes on. The correct voltages are present at the power supply, and the power unit but not on the check pins on the main board. Can anyone recommend what to check next? Thanks, Eric |

| No it doesn't. It will first show some alarms at power up then after the hydrolocs are fired up it will show an alarm from not being homed out. It automatically lights up the zero return button. You then jog the axises away from position and back again it will return itsself but becarefull these things are finicky. That's it then your good to go |

| Well, I thought I ordered the correct bulbs, NOT! I tried holding the e-stop reset, the x-axis just slowly goes down, no hydraulics, no drives. I did see the over travel alarm on X once it got to the botom so I know that's working. I measured the voltage from the 380v transformer and it is putting out, 394, 401, 402. It looks like I need to find the correct taps on the transformers and see if that is the trouble. |

| Don't worry about those voltages, they are OK. A 380v system can work up to 420v without a problem (+10% max). If your machine is "not ready" this is usually due to and external fault, emergency stop etc; have you checked the 24vdc fuses for inputs/ outputs etc; sometimes they show a white tag in a small window when they have blown. make sure the axis are not sitting on the emergency switches. |

| I was hoping it would be that easy! looking in the diagnostics, the z axis has a 1 under servo off but the x has a 0 when I press the e-stop reset it goes to 0 but goes right back to 1 as soon as i let go. The Z is not near the limits and both bits are 1's. When the machine showed up the z was near or on the limit so, after it didn't fire up I moved it a good distance away. I did find the wiring diagram with the transformer taps today, maybe it's worth trying that next. |
