Hello Steve I will try not to miss anything you'll need to do hear.
Here's a checklist you can look over.....
___ 1.) Check the main motor (directly under the headstock). See if its a dual voltage motor. (will be on the motor's plate.)
___ 2.) Check the variable speed motor (directly under the pan in front of the headstock. Has the vertical lead screw). check for the same
___ 3.) Check the coolant pump/ motor for the same.
If they all are dual voltage motors, you can re-wire them to be for 220 instead of 440. If they are not dual voltage you can either do two things.....
1.) Get a set-up transformer that will be exturnal from the machine and will convert your 220 to 440.
2.) Replace these motors with ones that are for 220.
Checklist continued.
___ 4.) All fuses on primary voltage side will need to be changed. Higer voltage draws less amps the(N) lower voltage so, higher amp fusses will be needed.
___ 5.) The heaters need to be changes as well for the same reason and the same idea applies here as well. These are for overloading the motors. They are located the 3rd row up from the bottom of the elect cab.
Hope this helps you buddy. Good luck.
