| We are curretly using a 10,000 rpm spindle Haas VF2 with the high speed option. But we are looking at purchasing another verticle mill. We, I want a Makino, but It will come down to price. If it is to much we will be purchasing a Haas Super VF2 with the 12,000 spindle.

| I saw that Haas Super VF2 at westec. That is a nice machine. I was impressed with it. I do hard machining at work and the haas looked pretty good if it will do what they claim. I run two Yasda's at work and if you could afford that you would love them. Yasda's are the best I have ever seen. Anyways enough about Yasda's, I just wanted to let you know that I saw the Haas machines and was impressed.

| SRT, what typ of feed are you looking at in the Haas. I have spent alot of time with them and done work at the haas factory. I have used the many of the machines including the VR11 & VB1 5axis machines. We are talking alum correct and not deep on the axle side but more in the higher speed with lighter cuts? Jimmy I have to say I do like the 5axis Yasda I program. Just one complant ,the envalope is to same for me.

| Thanks to all, for all the replies. cadcam, Yes it would be mostly cutting alum., with high speed and light cuts. I'm not sure how to answer your question about "what type of feed are you looking at in the Haas machine"? Another question that I would like to have answered is, do Haas mills come with corner accel & deaccell as standard, or is that an option in their HSM machines? |

| SRT, the HAAS can use a command G187 E.0003 without having the HSM option. What it does is determines the amount of over/under travel the machine is allowed when going around a corner. Exxxx is the value to keep within. HTH 'Rekd

| They keep the machine running 24 hrs a day monday thru friday and up to 11:00 am saturday morning just to get it to stay kind of close. They can not get good parts at all on the machine.
