| ANY THOUGHTS OR EXPERIENCE WITH THIS? I do a lot of mold and die, and I've notive that on my Fanuc machine with AI turned on (G5.1), the surfaces are much smoother and less jagged. On my other 40x20x20 US made machine with HSM option, the same parts come out with more stairstep (looks like connect the dots) when inspected under a microscope. I've also notice that the US machine had more jerks during high feed rates. Programs, feed, speeds were the same for both. Anyone else experienced this? |

| hsmike, I agree that the AI nano is significantly smoother than without it. Worth the extra cost for the option for sure. In fact, I don't think a CNC without this kind of look ahead is capable for higher feed rates. Not only because of the "jerks" you mention, but also the machined features will not have the degree of accuracy compared to the AI Nano CNC, or better yet the HPCC... What is the US machine (HSM) you mention?
