Help. Looking for a video posted a while ago..

Does anyone remember a video link that was posted here on cnczone, that showed Aluminium being CNC machined. It was a company video. The Alu plate being cut, looked to be about 1/4 - 1/2 inch thick. it was 2D, maybe 2.5D milling. The cutter cut right through in one pass. (small diameter cutter, high speed), and coolant was pumped in from two directions alternately. As the head travelled left to right, the coolant was fed from one tube (locline), and for right to left, another tube was used. It looked like a back plate or something similar was being cut for a control box, a bit like the back panel of a PC. I'm sure at the end of the video, a name or logo was engraved on the piece.

Does anyone remeber this video? I'm sure it was a link that was posted, to a companies site. They had other CNC videos too.

Please help me find it again, if you can.

Thanks.

Regards Terry.

Question Was this the one?

Mr. Bean,

I believe this is the video you're looking for, it's from Daytron Dynamics, Inc.
and the video can be seen here:

It's darn impressive!!! (even if it isn't the exact one you're looking for)

HTH,

HayTay

P.S. The link to the original CNCzone thread is here:

"Gol-Matic" mills; interesting setup

Thanks. That's the one. I remembered it slightly differently. Maybe there's a few kicking around, but that's definately the same part being cut that I remember.

Many thanks. I've been looking for it for two days now.

Regards Terry.

WOW! What else can I say. Who knew it was possible to machine material that thick in one pass and with such a small diameter bit. WOW!
