Help! i am machining Stellite 6B on a Mikron HSM 400u. i need to optimise my cutting conditions to increse tool life, i using 2 cutting tools,
10mm with a 2 mm radius for roughing, vc=65, fz=0.15, ae=0.05, aa=6mm. then semi finish with same cutter vc=65, fz=0.15, ae=0.1, aa=1mm.
10mm ball nose to finish vc=65, fz=0.08, programmed to machine a minimum step down of 0.05 max 0.2mm to remove 0.07mm material left on.
i am quite new to high speed machining and need to optimise these conditions.
