We just bought a VF-3, and the chip auger push buttons are controlling the auger, but it runs backwards from the button pushed. At least that is my assumption, doesnt auger fwd mean the auger gets the chips out of the machine? If I'm right, is there an easy way to fix this? Thanks |

| If it is a three phase motor, you need to reverse two of the three phase motor connections. Al.

| What year is the machine? Later model machines have phase detect lights on the main power distribution board (next to the main circuit breaker). Early models might not have that. In any case, reverse two of your incoming power wires and it should solve your problem. FWIW: your coolant pump should also be running backward if the phase is mixed up. If the coolant pump is running correctly, then you need to find out who/how/why the auger is wired wrong.

| Coolant pump is single phase so it will not run backwards; unless of course it is the high pressure through spindle system. I think the chip auger is also a single phase motor so it sounds like the buttons are wired backwards. If it is a new machine get onto your dealer for a fix. On a used machine I would take the back off the pendant and see if it is a simple matter of switching two connectors.

| Greetings Look through the parameters, I can't recall where it is without being in front of a machine. Its pretty easy to find...just change it from a 1 to a 0 or vis versa. Don't forget to hit E-Stop and unlock with Setting 7 first. I'll find the exact location when I get a chance. Thanks. |

Thank you fastfrank, I didn't know it was controlled by a Parameter.
