HAAS HS1

First of all hi to every body ,

I just brought a 1995 HS1.

4 AXIS,

I have had no training yet ,
The machine is levelled By Haas.

The tool hollder is BT40,
there is a threaded insert on the top of the BT tool

there are different versions of this screw on tip,


I have no tooling yet .

There is a tombstone mounted and i fitted a 10 INCH CHUCK,

soon i will mount a vice on the opposite side of the tombstone,

I have read the manual but i know i need training to get some,
thing to happen,

those are nice machines, if we ran production more we would have boughten one.
the insert your talking about is a pull stud that screws into the top of the tool holder, Make sure you get the exact type listed on the side of the machine. and only that type and style.
haas can supply them as well as most tool places on and offline.

dont play with it till you get training.

the 4 sided tombstone is a compact package,

i have a lot of turned products that need finishing off

It looks like i will have to take my time on this ,

The bottom apron which slides and has 4 segments,
that slide has rubbers to stop chips going inside ,

i removed the section and there is 3 levels of rubber badly
perished,

Any body know where i can get the right section of rubber to
Fit properly?
