Need Help!- HAAS VF1 replaced battery now multiple alarms on startup

I had to replace the battery in a VF1.

here's the kicker, you can't take out the old battery without loosing the parameter so i just wired the new battery in in paralell with it.

After putting it back together and startup i get multiple alarms including.

rotary axix error
spindle temp overload
servo motor overload

and then it does an autoshutdown thing after 15 seconds.

any hints before we have to call a tech.
my thinking is that i jarred the battery and lost the parameters and the parameter for overload temp and conditions defaulted to 0.
this should have been simple enough but appearently not.
anyone see any flaws to my procedure?
