Have got a job to do where we gotta document sizes as we go.
about 3000 bores in a plate, that need dia' check at three points.
I've done it in past and just paged down to variable outputs to view the measurement and hand written it down - but i'd like to do it auto.

can DPRNT log the dimensions to a file rather than output to serial port?

if not, what do i need to do to setup a printer to print off the data straight from the machine? (or i have connected a pc directly, and created a notepad file, but i can't remember!!).

On the Fanuc controls I set the Data I/O parameter to output to the Memory card. It has nothing to do with the macros, Haas is probable the same. So after probing the part the report is create on the memory card in the form of a text file you can open with notepad.
