My backup battery on my Feb 2006 mini mill is dead again (2.1v). Last time (less than 1 year ago) the local haas outlet service center sent me a plug-in battery and told me to plug it in to the pin header, but not to remove the existing battery. Is this right? I suspect the original batteries may be draining the new one if there is no protection circuit. If so, then how do i remove the old ones? they look to be soldered to the board... |
