VF2 Spindle not turning

I have a 2001 VF2 mill. After running for six hours today, the machine shut off completely right after calling an M05 (stop spindle). After further inspection there was one fuse blown and the main breaker was tripped. I replaced the fuse and reset the breaker. I have no alarms and the spindle does not turn. I program S500 M03 and the greed beacon flashes with no spindle rpm.
I did test the voltages to the spindle motor and have no voltage on A&B, C has 130 volts. I removed the spindle moto wires and ohm tested each one to ground with no continuity. My meter only goes to 4 megaohm and I was previously told to us something around 300 to 400 megaohm. I alo tested the regenitive resistors and they had 7.4 ohms. How can I verify the problem is with the vector drive and not the mocon board. If it is the vector drive can it be repaired. I searched the power transistors and they are fairly inexpensive.

Any ideas!

Have you got power on the DC bus going to the servo amps, or are they all dead too? AFAIK, the VFD creates the DC for the servos, so no power at the amps would indicate a dead VFD, I suppose.

I found this info looking around. Since one of those cooling fans isn't running I think we need to fix that first.

I texted it to your phone earlier.

Chances are you have a dual wound spindle motor. Probably a 10K spindle without a gearbox.
Haas uses dual windings in the spindle motor to get more torque at higher rpms. It is referred to as "Wye/Delta."

At low RPM (below 1200) the Wye winding is used, above 1200 the Delta winding is used.
There are two contactors in the control just to the left of the Vector Drive.
Chances are one of the contactors is not pulling in. Remove the bracket covering the contactors and check the connections.

Loose Nut,

I owe you a cold beer.

After removing the cover I did find a wire on the lower contactor that had shorted against the cover. Repaired the wire and the spindle works fine.

Thank you for your help.

Anyone know what year Haas started using Wye/Delta dual-wound spindle motors?
Do any of the VF-0's have them?
Thanks,
Ralph
