TM-1 at 6000 RPM?

Hello all ......... I'm trying to turn up the spindle speed on my TM1, but the parameters are locked. How do I unlock the parameters ?

Go to Setting #7 and turn it Off.

I was going to do this but our Haas service rep claims its not all the same and we will ware out our spindle quickly. I like the idea of the faster rapids as well! Just don't want to trade life on the mill for the speeds if this really is the case.

The TM-1 and the TM-1P have the same exact parts. You can safely turn it up to 6000K. We have been running ours this way for years with no problems

Same here. 3 years.
Spindle has no torque at 6K...but I regularly run at 5k.
