Unhappy VF2 swing arm jammed

Hi everybody.

So I changed tool from T03 to T06. After exchange has been made I noticed I had wrong tool in the spindle and quickly hit the feed hold button.

The swing arm is now jammed directly under the spindle (the two center locating pins are in their bores) and nothing I do can set it free.

I followed manual's instructions and nothing. I've tried a tool change (MDI-> T02-> ATC FWD) and nothing.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Have you started the toolchange recovery process?

I don't have the side mount tool changer, but I remember somebody posting about this awhile back. The trick was that whatever button you push to advance the recovery process, has to be pressed hundreds of times. It basically clicked the tool changer ahead one encoder click each time you pressed it. It might not seem like it's responding but keep pressing the button and see if that doesn't get the arm moving toward the recovered position. Sorry I can't remember the button, but it's in the screen prompts.

hit the recover button hit y three times. this will allow you to manually override the tool change procedure. depending on your stopping point make sure the tool is clamped or unclamped follow the prompts on the screen. in this mode when you hit the atc for rev buttons it only moves 1 degree do it will take a few hits of the button to see movement you can watch the angle on the sreen to make sure it is moving. there are three 0's that will turn to 1's when it is at home position.

Like Greg said, you have to hit ATC FOR or ATC REV what seems like a couple thousand times to get anywhere, and you can't just hold it down either.
