Would I be able to use a Haas Trunnion table, such as: http://haascnc.com/details.asp?ID=TR...otaryTreeModel with a Haas Super Mini Mill 2 (with the 4th- and 5th-axis enabled)? |

| I'm going to say no. Even if it would fit in there, you wouldn't have enough room for tool changes (they'd whack the left side of the trunnion). You could get a Super Minimill (not the '2'), then get the 4" Z axis riser block. That might buy you enough additional clearance. It would be tight, though. Why would you limit yourself that way? Why not a VF-1 or 2?

| Well, in that case, you can see the dimensions on the web page. Do you think you could get it to fit in there? How big are the parts you need to make? Maybe you could get the TRT160 to fit in there (less hardware on the left side of the table). Having the machine, you understand the problem: the tool changer pulls the holder down then sweeps the envelope as it swaps with the new tool. That's going to really restrict how much room you have, depending largely on the length of tools you expect to use.

| No, complete, utter, emphatic NO. Too heavy. Machine weight on Super MiniMill 2 Table is 500lbs, TR210 weighs 800lbs. EDIT: TR160 is 425lbs but even so I think it is too long at almost 40".

| That is a possibility but I would check the weight distribution when the table was all the way at the limit of travel; the 500 lb is 'distributed'. I think centered about the midpoint would qualify but if most of the weight was toward one end it may not be a good idea.
