vf2ss with 4th axis. My salesmen says a 100 amp breaker, thats #1 wire. is that correct on the breaker size? After owning probally 10 + machines and installing over 50 before I started my own place I never used more than a 75 amp breaker and on small machines 40-20 and under with 4ths and 5ths never over a 50amp. so are they trying to figure out that I have at least a 100 amp panel or do I really need a 100 amp breaker to the haas disconect box? I searched the forum and couldnt find any info looking under breaker. Delw |

| I just found the tech page on the haas website, there pretty serious, i think its an over kill but ok. I had my chart wrong ( the one in my head ) about the #1 wire its actually #3 for up to 100 amps but #3 isnt common so #2 should be used, however #4 goes to 95 amps on thhn. http://www.haascnc.com/pdf/ES0332.pdf for a min I was thinking there goes my Ac in the shop this summer, that would suck big time. |
