Haas TM-1 Insufficient Memory

We have a Haas TM-1 and we seem to be running in to a problem with insufficient memory. I deleted the programs that we had loaded on the machine, but it still says I only have 20% of the memory available. Does anyone have any ideas on how to find out what is taking the other 80% of my memory or how to reset it? We load our programs on using a 3 1/2" floppy drive.

If you have a Renishaw Probe the Macro Programs take up a lot of memory.

If someone stored a mess of files with names starting with O9*** then you will need to turn on a paremeter (don't remember wich one) to see them and remove them.

These are the Macro Programs that shouldn't be touched unless of coarse the person knows what they are doing.

If your HAAS Control is set up like a Fanuc you will find the Spiral Interpolation and Pocketing Macros in the 9000 series Programs.
You have to unlock Parameter #??? to even see them.

I forget which setting needs to be unlocked. I only unlocked it to copy the 9000 series macros for a back-up just in case someone lost/changed the originals.

I turned off setting #23 - this contained two macros, so I turned the setting back on.
We are also not using a probe.
Any other ideas as to where to check for memory hogs?

There are macros for the Quick Code I believe as well, but it would not be wise to turn them off or delete them.

Have you called your local HFO? They should have information to help you solve this issue. There could be some other setting or reset to fix this.

Thanks for all of the help. My HFO got back to me and told me how to fix it. I had to turn off setting 23, copy the 9000 series files, and then delete all of the files. I then put the 9000 series files back onto the machine and turned setting 23 back on. This got the memory back to 79% which is normal. Thanks again for all the help.
