Y Axis coolant leaks

I am replacing my X axis motor and cable today, so trying to fix everything that I can while i have it apart. A couple of years ago the plastic wiper on that cleaned the Y way cover kind of disintergrated. I ordered another one but it lacked a 1/4" of touching the way cover, I made one fron a nylon sheet that has sort of worked but does anyone have a better fix?
