Buy me a Beer?
Nothing bad to say about HAAS

Good morning gentlemen, My name is Steve Seebold. I owned my own company until January of 2008. In October of 2007, I went on to the hospital for what I thought was going to be a angiogram and maybe a couple of stints. As it turned out I had a quintuple cardiac bypass and a aortic valve replacement. After that I decided I no longer needed the stress of ownership, so I closed the shop. To make a long story short, I had a Haas tool room mill that I still owed about $14,000.00 on. I called and asked them to come and pick it up and about a week later it was gone. Now for the good part. HAAS sold the machine for $22,000.00. They took a $2,000.00 commission on the sale and sent me a check for almost $6,000.00.

If I were to ever go back in to business, I would buy another HAAS in a heartbeat.

That is a nice story. Look after yourself, eat correctly, keep up the level of exercise your doctor allows and there is no reason you can't go back into business with a nicely beating heart.

back in business

There are 2 things keeping me from going back in to business.

#1. My age. I'm 64.

#2. My wife.

Or maybe I have them in the wrong order.

Put an Office Mill and Lathe in the Garage. You will be able to tinker and be close to your wife.

Hope you get well.

64? You are still a young-un to me (just barely ). I have to be honest, I am breaking myself free of the business and starting to enjoy myself travelling with my wife. I had the scare too which makes you realise life is for enjoying.

P.S. Ignore these bright young things egging you on, I do.

So maybe I am a little too into it for now. Sorry

Enjoy what you have while you still have it and be happy in whatever you decide to do with your time

Sorry Geof but I had to put that in. I never get to use it and thought you would find it a little entertaining.

Don't get you feathers ruffled

WallyL7,
It is, most likely a Haas competitor. Don't let it bother you.
