VF-2 1998

I have a haas 1998 VF-2 and it has a high pitch squeel at high RPM`S do`s anybody have this problem or no now to fix it.

Did it just start doing it? Is the machine new to you? Some of the machines make a pretty loud "soundwave" at certain rpm's. Are you real familiar with the Haas' enough to know if it could just be "normal"? I have had machines make similar sounds and that was just what they did...

Post a video of it making the noise.

I would imagine that some of the guys here who like to fix stuff would be able to help you out, but otherwise just call Haas service.

I had this machine four two years and it ben doning all along. I haven`t ben around other haas machine maybe it`s normal.

Sometimes it is the motor and spindle pulleys not aligned correctly so the belt rides against the side of the pulley. If you are feeling energetic pull the covvers off and see if the belt runs centered in the pulley; if it is offset one way on the motor and the other way on the spindle you may need to re-align things.
