Need Help!- Need a phase converter

I have a 2007 HAAS VF-2 that I am wanting to move into my new machine shed on my property. The problem is the power company wants $45,000 to run 3 phase to me. So, I need a phase converter & I want to know if anyone is using a VF-2 on a phase converter. Any issues? What should I look for?

There lots of threads here on using phase convertors. The PhasePerfect is a nice way to go, quiet, easy to install but somewhat pricey. I use two rotory phase convertors that are balanced to 5% for CNC machines from an outfit in Many, LA. I don't have the name handy right now. Do a search here on CNCZone for "Haas phase Convertor" and you will find a lot of help.

We built a lean to on the back of our shop building for the compressor and the phase convertors. keeps the heat and noice out of the shop.

I am using a phase a matic 20 hp rpc and the phase a matic voltage stabilizer on my 2007 vf2 with no problems at all

I got the HD-ODP-20 back in 2000 and it has run everyday (almost) since. Made in the USA and great guys to work with.

$45,000? sounds like we need a salary cap on the utility companys too.

I am in a similar situation with the power company , the three phase line ends about 1/2 a mile from my shop. They want $19k to extend the line , $2700 to connect and then $800 a month demand fee . I purchased a 40 hp rotary from American Rotary and have been very happy
