411 RS-232 Empty Progam Alarm

I have been trying to get my computer hooked up to my VF-2 and have run into this wall.

When I try to send a program I input a program number like O4000 then "receive from RS-232". Then I am prompted with a "waiting..." and then I will send my file through my DNC4U program. The Haas control will now prompt a "Loading..." and not continue. Then when I cancel it after a while I get the error 411 RS-232 Empty Program

This is the program I am trying to send

O4000
G0 G90 G54 X0 Y0;
M30;

Did you add "%" at the first and last line?
like this:

O4000
G0 G90 G54 X0 Y0;
M30;
%

Yes I tried it with and without the %

Have you made sure the RS232 conditions are the same on the machine and computer?

It might be a typo but you have O4000 with no End of Block (semi colon) just a line return; did your program have the ; ?

Yes it di have the EOB, as for the conditions I am not for sure what all I need to check/set

This is for the lathe but the mill is the same.
Actually you can search for 'Stop Bit' and that will take you to the correct page.

Hmmm. looks like my baud rate was too high on the PC, I did get the file to send, thanks hopefully that's all I needed. you guys are very helpful thanks again.
