Does anyone know when the spindle pressure gauge shows any pressure?, mine is not showing any pressure at all. Im am also interested to know when the air valve between the main regulator and the spindle regulator is energised. I think my air valve may be faulty as I only get an air blast through the spindle when i operate the air valve manually. Any thoughts or guidance would be appreciated Richard RRb Machining Services Ltd |

| When the spindle is running that little gauge should show about 18 psi. It should stay on for a few minutes after the spindle stops. I think the air blast through the spindle during a tool change, or when you push the tool change button manually is a different supply.

| The regulator is set correctly at about 17psi, i stripped the solenoid and pushed it up manually and the pressure gauge shot round to about 20psi. I backed it off to the correct pressure before releasing the solenoid valve and reassembling |

| rbmachining Don't run the spindle without any air or you will be looking at a new spindle the spindle is pressurized to facilitate the flow of oil to the spindle bearings & it should be 12 to 17psi the positive air pressure helps to keep chips & coolant out of the bearing aera as well

| I am only just running the spindle up to commission the machine and fault find. It looks to me the solenoid is faulty and have asked Haas for a replacement part. Does anyone have a link to any Technical Refference manuals fro Haas ? |

| Haas spindles run at 17 PSI. The small regulator in the back behind the larger Main regulator should engage when the spindle is commanded at any speed. As someone stated before, you do not want to run the spindle without this regulator working. You will fry the bearings. Call your local Haas Factory Outlet for the part number and price. |
