A search here on CNCzone lead me to One CNC and their free DNC program,
It works great and was easy to set up.
Thanks CNCzone for all the knowledge that you store.

OK Guys, I am missing something when I try to get SurfCams SDNC program to work with my VF-0. I Have about run out of "free trials" that all seem to work but I can't get SDNC that I own to work.
I have been trying everything. Right now the controller is set on 9600 baud 7 bit odd 1 stop bit xon xoff and ASCII but I think I have tried them all. I ran with some time date package at 8 even 1 stop bit 19.2 baud. I know my cable works fine, have been running for years on a DOS program but recently switch the DNC Machine to an Windows 2000 system thinking it would be easier and it is on the network but the link to the Haas through SDNC has me stumped.
Thanks for any help

The first thing to check is that now you are running a windows system is that your network is set to allow sharing to all devices, then you need to set baud rate to 9600 - 8 - 1. the VF0 will only work on these setting if using a windows o/s. also check that the setting for your rs232 port on the haas have not been changed by the other 'free trial software' that you have been using.
Hope this helps.
I was able to get OneCNC's NC Link setup and running using
Com2
Baud 19.2
7 bits
1 stop bit
even parity
xon-xoff
on my VF-0 1992 mill
PC is running Windows 2000, Cable is a 100 footer most of coiled up in the ceiling. (It is what I had handy)
Program is great, looks like I could go to 38.4 but 19.2 is fast enough to feed DNC from the PC even with the high data flow for Truemill.
Still can't get SDNC to work but this NC Link does the trick
Thanks for the help.
