Alarm 161 on VF-0

Oh we are having a great day here,

Yesterday I did some machining, then came in the office to program some. About an hour and half later I went out to run the new program and got an 161 Alarm as soon as I moved the table. I check the books and this forum to find out what was going on.

This Morning I started the machine a VF-0 1992 and everything came up just fine. ran through startup and was looking good. I cranked the X-axis around some and then came into the office to answer the phone.

While talking i heard the table moving on the Haas. It had self propelled to the far right of the X Axis and of course gave me the 161 error.

I am in the process of removing the Way Covers and found about 1/4 inch of coolant in the bottom of the X axis channel, I have not gotten to the Y axis yet but I am sure there is coolant there also.

So now I guess I have two questions;
1. Does this sound like a ground or brush problem or is this a board that is heating up?
2. How common is it to operate with some coolant in the X and Y trays.

161-X AXIS DRIVE FAULT.

THE WAY YOU DESCRIBE THAT THE TABLE MOVED ALL THE WAY TO THE RIGHTSIDE, SOUNDS LIKE THE X-LIMIT SWITCH IS STUCK AND THAT POSSIBLY YOU WERE HOMING THE MACHINE OUT, AND IT WENT ALL THE WAY TO THE RIGHT AND HIT A HARD STOP?

I'VE SEEN THIS HAPPEN WHEN THE X-SWITCH IS FLAKY.
