    HASS VF-2/ RENISHAW PROBE

Does anyone know how to change the tool number of the probe. The Tech set up as T1, I need it to be T24. The presetter is already off our table, and sub plates are being used. So i can not use VQC to recalibrate the Probe. I tried changing probe macros, nothing seem to work.

    Thanks,

this is telling anything itself :
    Code:
    %
    O09023 (REN EASYSET)
    (40120737.0A VQC ADDED)
(HAAS VQC PROBE, English, Inch/MM, V1.5)
    (10-31-2003)
    IF [ #1 EQ #0 ] GOTO17
    #27= 10 (DEFAULT Q IN MM)
    (#28=1DEFAULT WORK OFFSET)
    #29= 20 (PROBE OFFSET)
    #30= 10 (STAND OFF)
    #179= 0.04
    IF [ #4006 EQ 20 ] GOTO1
    IF [ #4006 EQ 70 ] GOTO1
    #179= 1
    N1
    IF [ #1 EQ 12 ] GOTO40
    IF [ #1 EQ 13 ] GOTO50
    IF [ #1 EQ 19 ] GOTO60
    IF [ #1 EQ 20 ] GOTO70
    IF [ #1 EQ 21 ] GOTO80
    IF [ #1 EQ 22 ] GOTO85
    T#29 M06
    G43 H#29
if you don`t see anyway , there is a parameter #29

oh no , you didn`t understand you need to change :

    #29= 20 (PROBE OFFSET)
    to
    #29= 24 (PROBE OFFSET)

    this will help.

    here is the magic :
    Code:
    #29= #[ #161 + 4 ] (PROBE OFFSET #560)
    [...]
    T#29 M06
    G43 H#29
you have newer macros, just change ... and try
    #29= #[ #161 + 4 ] (PROBE OFFSET #560)
    to :
    #29= 24

I don`t know the new VQC , change it or maybe you need to recalibrate your probe like "GaryCorlew" wrote.

Have to change in the tool pocket table. Press current commands then page up or down till you find it. Then you can hit F1 for help but its pretty easy to figure out.

I have mine as T25. Don't forget that the SMTC's are 24+1 tools!

Tool number for the spindle probe is saved on macro variable 560. It should have a 1 in it now if it's calibrated to tool 1.
