Haas VF3, 1993 The problem I'm having is I cannot get the spindle to turn on. When I tried to change a tool an alarm comes on (#149) that says the spindle is turning but it is not. My spindle drive display shows failure code CPF00. Has this happened to anyone and what did you do to to fix it? Thanks |

| your fault is with the shot pin switch which locks the spindle in position for tool change. remove the head gaurd and the part you are looking for is on the right hand side of the spindle motor .clean or change the switch and that should fix the problem. |

| First thing - fault is definately not with shot pin. Second thing fault is definately with your spindle drive. I presume your spindle drive is a magnatek drive? Here is the manual (link) http://www.elevatordrives.com/pdfs/TM7325_R1.pdf Page 55 decribes your fault. It suggests to unplug the control pcb or replace it? Thats as far as I can help though - as I havn't taken one apart myself. May end up that you need a new drive. Hope this helps. |
