Need Help!- vf4 wont boot up, system fault

I've just come to turn on my haas vf4 and it gets part way through booting up the comes up with system fault with a list of errors including crc error, it then counts down from 30 seconds and shuts down.
Looking through the parameter list and settings etc it is full of garbage, it looks like somehow the information has been corrupted.
The machine has been working fine, and was shut down normally two days ago.
I've checked the backup battery and the voltage is good i.e.3.1v.
Does anyone have any idea what the fault might be, and how it might be fixed?

Intermittent bad contact on the backup battery?

I do hope you know where the floppy or usb drive that has all your parameters on it is.

Or the manual so you can laboriously enter them by hand.

Once you have fixed it.

If memory serves me right that is what ares did when it was like a week old,ended up being the mother board being bad.Beings it was new we just called service and let them fix it so we never realy looked into what the problem was.I do remember being pissed that new machine was down though .

The Same thing happend on my Mini Mill. The parameters and settings got corrupted. I had to have the technician come out and reload the operating system on mine to get it working right.
