the bottle over the tool presetter on the table is a great idea. What is the hose for that appears to go into it?

I'm sitting here wondering how the heck you knew he had a bottle over his presetter, then I realized that he linked a whole album of pictures This is good stuff. makes me want to make one for my machine.

P.S. It's the wiring. He's got an older one that's not wireless.

Sory , I don`t know what you mean.

Yes , it is a TS27R - older but better - I never changed the battery (joke) and when you see at the part probe , then you`ll see it is a probe from a lathe

no problem, if I only have somthing new, hope to try this out in next week.

I agree on the second point. I have the wired TS27R. It's nice not having to worry about batteries dying, and I see no reason to put it anywhere except where it's currently located, so being wireless wouldn't help me any.

That is a killer design. I do have a couple of questions: Are the jets tapped and what is the black stuff oozing from around the jets? Is that the way (threaded ID jets) it is done on other VMCs with through the head coolant? I know I have watched a Mazak and have always been jealous of the way it flooded a tool with coolant (I have a TM-3 with twin flex nozzles). I can think of different ways of mounting it, but do you intend to utilize the tapped holes that the factory spindle guard mounted to? Again....killer design.

I managed to run this ... the good news it that there are no leakings betwean spindle and the ring , and the bad news is : my coolant pump has insufficient pressure I closed 2 coolant nozzles because by changing tools my hand was too wet , I added a cooper nozzles and that helps to lead the coolant at the tool. Now I need to find a pump that has 1.5-2 bar pressure, mine has only 0,45bar max.

Assuming that you have the tool changer on your TM-1, the only drawback I see to the design is that you are filling a reservoir with coolant (the cavity around your spindle) without any check valve at the jets to keep the coolant in the cavity. I would worry about coolant dumping into the tool carousel compartment during a tool change. Also, I wonder about coolant starvation at first tool contact after a tool change. How long does it take to fill the cavity before you see coolant flying at peak trajectory? I know that extra Gallons per Minute and PSI (Liters and BAR's in your case) would fix the issue if any, but I am curious about your current setup. I love the design....but a check valve system at the jets (nozzles) will be a must to keep the tool carousel clean.
