This question is for anyone currently using a VF-11. What are you doing to keep coolant contained inside the machine and not spraying up over the doors? Our VF-6 has the doors built so that the machine is totally enclosed but our VF-11 has nothing more than the doors going straight up and stopping. Leaving the whole top of the machining area open for coolant to spray up and over the doors and the opereator. Matt |

| I had the same problem with my vf 8/50, solved it be installing strip brushes. You can buy them here http://www.mcmaster.com/ and look on page 1227.You buy them by the length and cut them to size.I used sheet metal screws to attach them all around the openings.Don't forget to buy the track that the brushes slide into. They look just like the brushes that the install at the side mounted tool changer opening Dave |

| I think that you miss understood what I'm talking about. On the VF-6 the doors are bent at a 90deg. angle at the top towards the back of the machine. When the doors are closed, they cover the opening in the top of the machine infront of the tool changer arm and spindle headstock. The VF-11 door just stop at the top and are not bent at a 90deg. angle. Thus leaving the area infront of the tool changer arm and spindle head fully open. Matt |

| I run the VF-11 in our shop The machine has no additional splashguards and the coolant can launch over the doors. I've found that coolant placement on the tool can be a real factor on where it's going to end up. That and keep some simple green around |
