Spindle alarms after PAR. install

We recently had a power spike wiped out a few computers, HAAS fine. Two weeks later mill starts acting funny bad compensation, not cutting to size. I dont know if someone played with something they souldnt so I decide to reload parameters and settings. As soon as parameters are loaded the control gives error# 123 drive fault, 254 spindle overheat, 177 overvoltage, and shuts its self down. I know the paramaters are good, coincidence?
HELP.

Thanks Slugo.

It sounds like a parameter problem. If yours is around a 2002 model they switched the vector drive to a different style, which can be retrofitted and I think these are the alarms you would get. I am pretty sure the spindle overheat is one of them. There is a parameter that needs to be changed which may have not been documented.

Hope this helps some.

Do you know if you have the new "smart" vector drive? If you do you will need to change a parameter. If you look at Parameter 57, you should have two colums, the third one up from the bottom of the right colum. Depending on your software version it will either be NC OVERVOLT, INV BUSS PWR FAULT. If you have the new "smart" vector drive it should be set to 1.
