Problem: Feed back on Screen from Spindle

We have had to replace the screens on our mid nineties vintage, HAAS VF-2 and VF-3. We did notice on the new screens an "extra" plug.

Nice having a screen you can see, HOWEVER, now when the spindle rotates
you get squiggles and such across the screen(s). (kind of like a TV screen with static if it's in the same room as a microwave when it's running)

These are the monochrome screens.

How can we(I) isolate the screen from the feedback? To eliminate this
problem.

Any insights would be appreciated.

you need to take the 9 pin connector that goes to the screen coming from the control panel not the cable from the monitor and cut it open or unscrew the case and you need to solder or splice the shield wire to the ground wire i think pin 1 or 5 ohm it out and find the ground.

We had a similar problem on a lathe and it was not really feedback, it was the video card vibrating slightly when the machine was running and working loose. We wedged it with some little foam pads and the problem disappeared.
