im running a VF3 Haas and loving it.Probes and all. for some reason when i go to rigid tap in a canned cycle , it will tap my first hole ,then rapid to the other holes but not tap. I always have to go back to a tap head with a G84 instead of G184. T3M6(1/4-20 rigid tap) G90 G0 G54 X5. Y.5 M8 G43 H3 Z1.0 S300 T2 G98 G184 R.1 Z-.7 F15. G91 X.5 X.5 X.5 X.5 Y1. X-.5 X-.5 G80 G0 Z6. T4M6...... ..... |

| I'm probably not understanding something but why G184? I use G84 and rigid tapping does multiple holes without any problems, if peck tapping is needed it will accommodate that as well assuming you have all the necessary parameters turned on. ![]() Vern |

| Are you tapping a non-vertical hole? G184 is for non vertical holes. It is possible that G184 will not let you do a sequence of X and Y moves because it is a non-modal command. Switch to G84, it can be used for Rigid Tapping so long as you have the Parameters and Settings turned on.
