HEY...TRYING TO MAKE A PROGRAM ON FEATURECAM FOR OUR MDC 500. I MADE IT LIKE I NORMALLY DO, BUT ITS MOVES ARE IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION THAN THEY WOULD BE ON THE MILLS. I HAVE NEVER HAD ANY TRAINING ON HOW TO PROGRAM SO I MIGHT HAVE MISSED SOMETHING SMALL. I CAN PROGRAM A MILL NO PROBLEMS. THE DIFFERENCES B/T MDC 500 AND A MILL IS TABLE IS STATIONARY AND I THINK THE X AND Y MOVE IN OPPOSITE DIRECTION. CAN I JUST MAKE A CHANGE ON MDC OR DO I HAVE TO HAVE A POST PROCESSOR FOR IT. ANY HELP WOULD BE GREAT. SORRY IF DETAILS ARE A LITTLE WEAK. MY BOSS KINDA JUST THREW ME TO THE WOLVES AND TOLD ME TO START PROGRAMMING |

| We have 3 different Haas machines, including MDC 500. I make same programs for all machines ad they work OK. You must observe machining table, like you are in front of the spindle, tool changer is left, door and computer are right from you. X is from tool changer to door and Y is from table to spindle. You must setup outside table turned around. X is left Y is from table to you. |
