Best way to clean coolant soaked windows ?

Windows get sticky after time

Dont feel like scratching them up

One method I used in the past was a dilute mix of coolant in hot water and a soft rag. To me it seems the coolant mix dissolves the sticky residue better than only water.

Now I use methyl hydrate (methanol, methyl alcohol) that I get in gallon cans at Home Depot. Spray on and just wipe off.

I have been told this might affect the windows which are polycarbonate, but have not seen any signs of crazing.

This puzzles me, the windows are not colored so they cannot fade. Do you mean does it make them go opaque or cloudy? The answer is no.

Once they're clean cover them with clingfilm or that stuff they wrap round packing pallets- next time they're dirty just peel off the clingfilm- hey presto! clean windows!

This works well also, it is a product called Ultraclean-200 mixed with water and used in spray bottle
it is excellent for cleaning coolant off machinery, you can also mix it with your coolant keeps machinery clean inside as well
It does not seem to effect coolant performance.

When I know we are going to have visitors in the shop, I clean the windows and then apply RainX. It doesn't seem to last more than about a week, but it sure is nice for a while. Makes it real easy to see in the machine.

hot water in a spray bottle works the best ,the hotter the better. wipe it with one rag and dry it with a clean one. chemical cleaners can leave streaks on machine paint and you dont need to spend $ on cleaners you don't need! not to mention the fumes you dont have to deal with .a green alternative that works.
