Well ever since we took the side panels off the machine we've been trying to figure out what to do to replace them. This was their best idea Yes, they are shower curtains Yes, they got them at Walmart No, they decided not to get matching colors! I tried to make it look a little more professional, but i just couldn't draw those "A"s Last picture is a good example of what kind of parts "fit" in our machine |

Call your HFO. The panels are cheaper than lexan and they are already cut to size. Just slide them in!! Not that difficult to figure out.

| I don't think his problem is how to replace the panels, rather keep most of the chips and coolant in while machining a looooog ass part ![]() When you have to modify a VF11 because the part is too long you know you are working with big parts ![]() At least you didn't go with the ducks or fish curtain....although that would have made a keeper picture... |

| A forklift curtain would perhaps have served better. The vinyl (?) strips for the curtains are available in various widths and do give some transparency.

| Another nice thing about having clear covers, you're less likely to get hit by a beam coming out of the side of the machine |

| We have some parts we make on are old comet vmc that are up to 14 feet long, what we did was cut little doors in the sheet metal sides,( the incloser moves with the table ) that can be removed so parts can hang out over the end of table. Then we can do a section of the part and then slide it down the table and start over, untill we get to the other end.Well one day I was busy and needed to do one of those parts and figured i'd just throw it on the vf-4,ran most of the part off and was just about done with it,but it got late and said the hell with it,will finish it tomorrow.Next morning go in and forgeting that I had part hanging over the left end of table, and the table all the way to the right, closed the left side door and hit power up / restart.Well let me tell you I had no idea those panels would bend that far. Didn't do any major damage to it,just poped it out ,but have not done it again.I have to say, just for the fun I would have gone for the ducks
