Modifying programs stored on USB drive? | | Is there any way to modify a program that you have stored on your USB drive while it is still in your mill? I find that while troubleshooting a program during it's initial run, I am constantly snatching the USB stick out of my mill, running to the computer (which is close, don't get me wrong), plugging it into the computer, making the modification, snatching it out, running to the mill, etc... Many times it is something as simple as the period after a whole integer for a feed command. Sometimes it is deleting a home command where it isn't necessary. You get the picture. I am afraid of prematurely wearing out the USB port through troubleshooting programs. I have tried it before, but since it is saved to the USB stick rather than the machine memory, I can't just type in a change and hit alter from the edit screen. Any suggestions? Thanks. |
