Howdy,
A while back I posted about our companies 93VF0 Haas mill. Haas finally sent us a new motherboard Part#93-1184B which cleared up the CRC offset error.
Now four months later we have started recieving "213 eprom crc error". Haas and Selway have both claimed that it's the motherboard then claimed it was the video board depending on which "technician" I happened to get when I called.
They sent us a video board Part#93-1001 and when we hooked it up our monitor was being overdriven so much you could see the retrace lines. Once we turned the brightness down. The machinist confirmed that the mill is still operational we just get no display. I have had four "techs" now who can't tell me if the pinout happened to change over the years or if this new video board won't support the older monitor we have. The monitor is a Tandy VM-5 monochrome.
Now they claim that in order to repair I need to purchase yet another Motherboard/Video Board combo so that I can have newer software.
Anyone have an idea what is really wrong or have access to schematics for these particular boards so I can try and figure out the video issue. |
