The other night I was taking a finish pass, side milling through a 5" steel tube. While i was deburring some parts i heard it crash and thought the endmill had broke. The endmill and tool holder had fallen out of the machine spindle, it didn't trip any alarms and the machine was moving right along. What i'm most curious about is when i looked at the tool holder the pullstud was badly bent, and i was wondering what other instances you've seen a pullstud bend? |
