Mini Mll Controller

I have a friend with 3 Haas mini mills, and he needs a hand programing I believe they are 2000- 2003 models I program in Virtual Gibbs and I need a post, any Idea of what the controller is called on one of these machines ? Or if anyone has a post that might work I would be happy to trade I have over 50 posts for various machines.

Thanks

Haas makes their own control, so it is called a Haas control.

I believe there is also a Fanauc operation setting.
Never used it though.

Haas

Hmm OK , For instance my Kitamura runs a Fanuc OM Mate controller, and My Bridgeport runs a DX 32 controller, Both pretty specific for the post in my CAM package, for instance I had to try about 15 different posts for the Kitamura to settle on one that executed all of the routines properly. I have never worked with a HAAS before and I will probably just give them a ring on Monday.

Thanks for you help

Be careful. Yes, the Haas control can run in Haas mode, Fanuc mode or Yasnac mode. But when it is in Fanuc mode it does not behave exactly like Fanuc machines. One difference is the way some canned cycles are set up; on Haas in Fanuc mode all the data is entered on a single line of code, but as far as I have been able to figure out reading various posts here, on Fanuc machines it is necessary to split the information into two lines.

Haas controls don't need an M29 with an S command before the G84 line either
Haas controls like to see decimal points for Q, R K valuse and Fanucs don't
Yes, there are a couple of differences but you can tweek a fanuc post easily
