Hello, I'm really new to machine maintenance. my maintenance guy had to take leave for a few weeks and one of my machines went down hard. its been doing it for a while but it just started getting this error every 5min for the last 2 hours.
234 : spindle cable fault.
I'm just wondering what it could be. i know it could be the encoder. and i know it could be the mocon. is there any way of telling which axis got the invalid signal from the encoder. so that i can trace to which encoder it could be and see about testing it?
a little background on the issue. when it tool changes or is in a tapping cycle it alarms with this error. in the alarm history i saw two alarms not from today that stated the mocon watchdog error. so i am thinking those have something to do with this error. or could it be that the error with the encoder caused the mocon error? the spindle cable fault was happening befor the mocon error. just to note.
any info will help me in determing my course of action on this machine. thank you for taking the time to read this. |
