Is there a rule of thumb for the value of my used machine? I have an 06 4 axis mini mill with rigid tapping, usb/ethernet/hd, with options about $37K new. Need to upgrade to VF2 Not many new minimills on Ebay to compare to. Thanks joev |

| well there is what you will get if you trade it in and what you can get on a free market ask haas what they will give you in trade value then add some on top of that for free maket value,or just ask what you think its worth. you may want to keep the fourth axis for the vf2 its no worth buying twice. |

| Or you might consider hanging on to it for second ops. Dunno what your cash situation is but it sounds like a nice, capable machine--albeit with a small envelope. I know of one shop that has a Mini sitting by itself with special coolant and tools. He said that it does nothing but Inconel, all day long.

This would be my suggestion if you can afford to hang onto it hang onto it. Much cheaper than having to replace it in a years time when your work load comes up. And if you find you do not need it in a years time then sell it; you will not see much difference in what you get for it.
