Just a quick tip for the masses. After leveling my new TL-1 a few weeks ago, I learned that I didn't have a 1.5" wrench to tighten the nuts. There was too much stud sticking up to use my lone, 1.5" socket. The webs on the support legs prevented a Crescent from fitting in there. On eBay I found numerous wrenches in that size but they were for heavy equipment and were usually priced $25-50 (one wrench). Too much for something I'm going to rarely use and not apply much load to. Today, I visited Harbor Freight and discovered that they sell a 1.375/1.5" double box wrench for tightening trailer hitch balls. $4.99. http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/cta...emnumber=95494 You can probably also score one of similar quality at Wal Mart in the RV section. I remember seeing them there with all the trailer hitch stuff. No, it ain't a Snap On but you're not removing a skip-loader bucket with it either.

Hi Donkey Hotey, Thanks for the tip. I don't know if my TM-1P has the same size nut on the levelers or not it is something I will keep in mind. My new machine is due today about 10AM. Should be a nice day. John |

| Be a butcher . A hammer and short length of 1/2" leaded steel as a drift works quite well. The TLs and also MiniMills are a nuisance because the levelling bolt is between the two side flanges.
