Renishaw probing -- NON VQC

We self-installed a renishaw infrared probe on a 1996 vf-1 .
Long story, the Haas tech got stumped, let out some smoke, etc.

Anyway, as this machine did not come with the macros for the probing cycles.

I got the all of the macros that come from Renishaw, but they do not include the stuff that the operator would actually use.

For example, sense a vise jaw.

The manual included some examples of code, which we are using with limited success.

I wonder if anyone is willing to share the code they are using for workpiece measurement?

when you have the probe going, you 99% have the VCQ for user , go to VCQ and press F2 , find O09996 and press ENTER , when not , write me your email at my PM.

you can get vqc for pc which will generate the code for you on your computer from your hfo or the haas website maybe.

Havent been here in a while: If you are still trying to get some answers let me know. First you will need to check and see if your control has the 9000 numbered programs installed. There is a parameter for viewing these programs. I think it is the fourth or fifth page down in the parameters list. If you need programming techniques or probe code HOLLA AT ME..

we have the "9000" series programs.

Using the renishaw manual as a guide, we created some probing routines, but, as I said, with limited success.

It would be very helpful to get a copy of the haas-supplied routines foran older (1996) machine like ours, or at least a version of someone's self created that work well.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
