Hi All, I have a 1991 VF1 with a vintage 5C indexer with its stand alone control. I was hoping to use the indexer with out the stand alone control. I know that both of these have brushes in them and I do have the 4th axis capability. My dilema starts with the plugs. My machine has a 17 pin plug while the 5C male plug is a 7 pin plug. Is there a way to make the 5C unit compatable with my VF1? I am not an electronics expert so all of you super geniuses keep in dumb dumb language for me. Thanks in advance for your help. |

| I don't think that is possible..as the 7 pin indexers where stepper motors, not servos.. You can run a 14 pin indexer on a 17 pin machine with a adapter from Haas..but never seen or heard of a 7 pin to 17 pin..or 7 pin to 14 pin one..
