Hello: does anybody know of any m-codes or tricks to getting a 3 brand new VF-3ss to go faster...LOL also these machines 5-axis 210 TR tables on them. I pretty handy with matsuura's, they have codes where I am able to start spindle and move to postion and tool H-offset postion without waiting. we are using 12000rpm alot. also how about when the z goes home, is there a way to get it to spool down while going home for a tool change. Also any code to get the pot ready and down for tool change, this is M29 on a matsuura. Or am I sol, since it seems that Haas does the m-code last. Or any time saving tricks?? for a newb on a Haas... Thanks |

| I cannot remember whether it is a Setting or Parameter but Haas has a SPINDLE NOWAIT feature. When this is turned on if you have a spindle start command followed on the next line by a G00 the rapid will move while the spindle is coming up to speed. If you put the G00 move and spindle start on the same line it will complete the move before executing the spindle command. Regarding the spindle stopping while the Z moves home for a tool change all my machines do that. Once you have moved clear a little bit at the end of a cut just use Tn M06, this takes the Z up and stops the spindle at the same time. On my machines with Side Mount changers I do not need to do anything for the next tool to be ready. It seems the Haas looks ahead for the next Tn M06 and moves the tool into position. No matter how it does it by the time the spindle is up and stopped the tool is there ready the arm to do the change.

| Parameter 209 COMMON SWITCH 2 I think it will be near the bottom of the right had column. In the manual it is listed as item 31 under this parameter.

| Are you sure it is installed on your machine? My knowledge extends as far as thinking it is an option. Incidentally how hot is hot? My machines are not superspeed but I have some that frequently run at 10,000 for extended periods and they barely get warm.
