how easy is it to change the diameter of the feed stock with the servo bar feeder? I was told you have to move the whole bar feed and change a bushing inside the headstock but this seems silly thanks, joev |

ours came with this set of 6 or 8 teflon bushings and steel tube spacers. to size the bushings they have to be machined and you have to have a set of bushings for each stock diameter, this just seems a little cumbersome. |

Changing the spindle liners is easy, as long as you are using standard size bar. We have 2 different liners and a bunch of different sized pvc pipes that go inside the liners. I would say it takes less than 10 minutes to change bar sizes (including changing the chuck jaws). I have had some problems with the bigger spindle liner rattling around though. We have an SL-20 with the servo 300 bar feeder http://www.ktechmanufacturing.com/turning.htm I would say the servo 300 is a very good unit, the SL-20, not so great |
