Hello, I have a 6-mo. old MM that in the past week, is making me worry about the lubrication system. After you prime the lube system, the pressure will slowly drop to zero during operation. On the parts I ran today, I would have to re-prime it every 10 or so minutes to keep pressure up. I thought that in the past it would constantly keep pressure at 10psi or so by itself after you first prime it on power-up.... To have it constantly drop to zero though... What is proper operation supposed to look like? Is this it? Alex |

| The lube pressure will normally bleed off ...it is supposed too..the lube pump cycles and pressurizes the lines..in the lines are restrictors..then after a while the pressure bleeds down thru the restrictors ..and this cycle of events occurs again..actually the lube pressure switch needs to cycle from "pressure to no pressure" or the machine will alarm..No need for you too.."Hand pump up " the lines..that is what the auto oiler is for...

| WMS is right, unless you were hand pumping due to an alarm coming up. If you are hand pumping due to an alarm your whole unit might be shot. Where I work we had a unit go and we hand pumped the thing for over a year until it got to the point where the machine wouldn't finish a 5min cycle with out alarming out. I did the change over its not to hard. Couldn't tell you the price of the replacement though.
