| I'm looking to use a vacuum chuck for some of the prod. parts we are making. What I want to know is can I use a Vacuum gage to trigger an alarm condition, when the Vacuum is lost to a certain point? I know some one who's rigged this type of system up on some fancy pants japanese machines. Possible to do with Haas???? I also want to know if I can adjust the airblast time during the tool change. I'd like to be just a bit longer to make sure the taper is getting flushed just right!! TY

| The easiest way would be to wire it into the door safety circuit. That way the machine would respond just like a door was opened. You'll want to run a switch in parallel with your sensor, that way you can switch it to a bypass mode when you aren't using the vacuum system. Sam |

| The easy way to do it is with the door switch circuit and set the Door Stop Spindle Parameter to 1 so that both the Feed and Spindle stop if you lose vacuum. Then remember you must not run with the Door Hold Override on.
