Yep that is correct..Each M-code advances the program 1 step..
Ok. I've used Haas rotarys that were hooked to the control as a true 4th axis. I've got a question about using a Haas rotary with the control box and M-codes.
I can only run 1 program with 1 m-code right? Each program can have 99 steps. I only have 1 m-code hooked up, so will each successive call of the m-code activate 1 of the steps of the program? Call m181 once and step 1 of program in box is executed. Call m181 again and step 2 of program is executed. Is this correct?
Thanks in advance.

yes if you have parameter 10 i think set that way
Parameter 10? I should have specified that I'm running this rotary table on an Okuma MCV4020 and a Fadal VMC15. Is parameter 10 in the Haas control box or in the Haas VMC?
WMS, I've used OneCNC for programming my TM-1 with the rotary table controled through the machines control as a true 4th and it's worked perfect with the stock Haas post processor. Is there any way to have OneCNC output the 4th axis codes as an m code with the acutal move as a comment so I can easily program the rotary. Example M181 (step 1: A180. F20) or something like that. Btw, I'm just using this as an indexer.
Ed,
I'm headed out the door for the day..but I'll post something up this evening when I get back..it can be done..well as you out it "something like that"..![]()

Edster,
What Serviceman is talking about is parameter #10 in the Haas axis control box..
If set to "0" , it stops after each step,(IE: M code) and waits until next M code to index again to next step..
This would be the default setting..but you can change it to step clear thru the program with one M code..or a couple of other settings..it is all in the manual..
Anyhow ...I dropped a post on the OneCNC forum > Tips and Tricks section about how to set your post up for a stand alone control box like you are asking..Figured it was software question and not a Haas question per say..
Plus that way it is there for other users to see..![]()
